How to rent a ResQRent beacon
From model selection to navigation, 5 simple steps, 3-day delivery to a Mondial Relay pickup point, prepaid return included.
Choose your beacon
Pick the model suited to your activity (PLB1 coastal, VHF HX890E, etc.), select a rental duration from 15 days to 6 months, then add it to your cart.
Enter your information
Provide your email, contact details and pick the closest Mondial Relay pickup point for delivery. You can also add an ashore emergency contact.
Payment and electronic signature
Card payment via Stripe 3D Secure, then electronic signature of the rental contract under the European eIDAS regulation. 6-digit OTP by email, timestamped archiving with IP and SHA-256 hash.
Receive your beacon
Mondial Relay delivery within 3 business days in mainland France, at the pickup point you selected. Your rental duration starts on receipt, not at checkout.
Set your safety info
Before departure, fill in your planned route, ashore emergency contact and vessel or activity details. This data is shared with French rescue services if the beacon is triggered.
What if the beacon is triggered?
Your beacon signal is received by Cospas-Sarsat satellites (Galileo SAR, GPS SAR) and forwarded to the relevant rescue centre within 5 minutes. The centre immediately contacts Global SAR Hub (24/7 on-call), which shares your data with rescuers:
- Your identity and contact details.
- Planned trip position.
- Number of people on board or in the team.
- Ashore emergency contact.
- Any medical conditions.
Precious time saved, which can make all the difference at sea or in the mountains.

Yes, minimum 18 years old to sign the contract. A minor can of course wear a beacon during the activity, the contract is simply in the name of the responsible adult.
We only accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) for the Stripe authorisation. Wire transfers are available for B2B Pro accounts on monthly billing.
Yes, free of charge, just contact us. After shipping: 14-day consumer withdrawal right, minus shipping costs.
Yes, before shipping. Without an emergency contact and planned route, the beacon will not ship. That is a Cospas-Sarsat protocol requirement and our CROSS partners' request.
